We decide to went back Shah Alam from Perak by using the old road. So, we skip the highway and drove along the kampung road. Before that, i surf the internet and found that actually now is the time for the Sekinchan to harvest.
Sekinchan is one of the two major rice producing districts in the country.
The town has a unique dual character - it is both a fishing village as well as a rice producing area. Drive north along the main highway that cuts through the town and you will see vast expanses of rice paddies on your right. Take the left turn when you reach town and you see a busy fishing port. Interesting place.
Sekinchan is known as the ricebowl of Malaysia with a lot of paddy fields and some pretty interesting fishing villages. The evening was hot, but sadly, a little hazy so the skies and light weren't perfect.
Nice paddy field.
Harvesting time.
My dear and the paddy~~
Bird nest house.
It is so beautiful paddy-golden yellowish~~~~
Then, we went to the temple near the paddy field.
The temple had a lookout tower to watch the paddy field view.
It is harvesting time.
Sunset at Sekinchan paddy field.
While on the way to fishing village, we saw a stall that very crowded. This is the shop that very famous with the sugar cane juice stall.
Then, we went to the Fishing village.
A peaceful fishing village.
Then we went to the beach side.It is not advisable to swimming overthere.
A rest house set up by the local villagers.
A temple facing the beach.
Then, we went to the fish market.
Many people buy the fresh fishes there.
After that, we went to the place that sell salty fish.
So SMELLY~~~~
Finally, we were hungry and we search for a seafood restaurant to take our dinner. We choose this restaurant.
We order the sugarcane juice as our drinks.
Its really twist my thirst~~~
We order this dish-Stir fried shark meat. The shark meat was stir fried with ginger, garlic and Black bean sauce. This is the dish that quite heavy taste. As told by the boss there, the shark meat was low in fat, and very nutritious as it's rich in Omega-3.
Then, we also order for dry fried prawn. This prawn was yummy and very tasty. I like the style cooking using the dry chili and really make me taste it again and again.
We order for a vegetable too. Balance meal ma~~~
This meal only cost us RM33.40!!!It is sooooo cheap!!!You definitely can't get this price at KL.
After dinner, we walk along the village side and we found out some of the villagers also plant the oil palm tree there to earn a living.
The oil palm tree still so young.
Then, we just complete our journey and went back to Shah ALam.
