Sekinchan-paddy field

We decide to went back Shah Alam from Perak by using the old road. So, we skip the highway and drove along the kampung road. Before that, i surf the internet and found that actually now is the time for the Sekinchan to harvest.

Sekinchan is one of the two major rice producing districts in the country.

The town has a unique dual character - it is both a fishing village as well as a rice producing area. Drive north along the main highway that cuts through the town and you will see vast expanses of rice paddies on your right. Take the left turn when you reach town and you see a busy fishing port. Interesting place.

Sekinchan is known as the ricebowl of Malaysia with a lot of paddy fields and some pretty interesting fishing villages. The evening was hot, but sadly, a little hazy so the skies and light weren't perfect.

We order this dish-Stir fried shark meat. The shark meat was stir fried with ginger, garlic and Black bean sauce. This is the dish that quite heavy taste. As told by the boss there, the shark meat was low in fat, and very nutritious as it's rich in Omega-3.

Then, we also order for dry fried prawn. This prawn was yummy and very tasty. I like the style cooking using the dry chili and really make me taste it again and again.

Photobucket
We order for a vegetable too. Balance meal ma~~~

This meal only cost us RM33.40!!!It is sooooo cheap!!!You definitely can't get this price at KL.

After dinner, we walk along the village side and we found out some of the villagers also plant the oil palm tree there to earn a living.

Then, we just complete our journey and went back to Shah ALam.
